Diego (anno 1969) comincia ad 8 anni lo studio del clarinetto nella Banda Parrocchiale San Gaetano di Mosson, diventandone componente prima e Maestro poi, all’ età di 19 anni. Durante le scuole medie continua gli studi presso l’Istituto musicale “Città di Thiene” sotto la guida del M° Armando Colombo e del M° Cesare Cavalli; nel 1989 si diploma al prestigioso Conservatorio di Musica “A. Pedrollo” di Vicenza preso il quale frequenta pure il Liceo Artistico Musicale. Negli stessi anni comincia l’attività di istruttore nella Banda di Mosson, formando e seguendo personalmente il percorso musicale di decine e decine di giovani allievi, trasmettendo e rafforzando in loro la passione per la musica.

Dal 1989 gli viene affidata la direzione della Banda di Mosson. La sua gestione si rivela subito illuminata e proiettata nel futuro: convinto assertore del lavoro di squadra, Diego traghetta il gruppo attraverso svariati generi musicali, dal classico al jazz, dal bandistico al rock, sino a che nel 2003 capisce che Mosson deve rinnovarsi totalmente, ma attingendo alla sua storia centenaria: nasce così la Mosson Marching Band, che nel 2011, dopo un intenso lavoro sperimentale e professionale, evolve in Mosson Drum & Bugle Corps, attestandosi ad oggi come uno dei più prestigiosi gruppi italiani del settore, capace di esibirsi con orgoglio e competenza su scala nazionale ed europea. In tutto questo Diego non interrompe i suoi studi: consegue nel 1991, sotto la guida del M° Ezio Gavasso, il Diploma Superiore in clarinetto e nel 1992 entra nella rinomata Fanfara Brigata Alpina Cadore, prima come componente ed in seguito come Maestro e istruttore di truppa, esperienza per lui tecnicamente e musicalmente assai formativa, utilissima nella sua successiva esperienza nella marching band. Partecipa a numerosi corsi musicali e strumentali in cui perfeziona le sue competenze, e concilia l’intensa attività musicale con quella di restauratore di organi a canne. Dal 1994 insegna clarinetto e sassofono presso il “Centro Cultura Musicale” di Vicenza e dal 2005 è insegnante di clarinetto presso la Scuola Media ad Indirizzo Musicale “A. Barolini” di Vicenza. Nel novembre del 2008 consegue presso il Conservatorio di Musica “A. Pedrollo” di Vicenza la Laurea di 2° Livello per la formazione dei docenti di strumento musicale, a completamento della sua ormai vasta cultura musicale. Ma al centro di tutta questa attività per Diego resta Mosson Drum & Bugle Corps, gruppo che guida da ormai 24 anni in un processo di continuo rinnovamento tecnico e stilistico impressionante.

Diego (class of 1969) began to study clarinet in the Church’s band of San Gaetano in Mosson, when he was 8, becoming first a component then the Director, at the tender age of 19. During the middle school he continued his studies at the Music Institute “Città di Thiene” under the guidance of M° Armando Colombo and M° Cesare Cavalli, and in 1989 he graduated from the prestigious Conservatory “A. Pedrollo” of Vicenza, in which he also attended the Artistic and Musical High School. In the same period begins to work as instructor in the band of Mosson, forming and personally following the musical path of dozens of young students, transmitting to them and reinforcing in them the passion for music. In 1989 he was appointed Director of the Band of Mosson. Its management is revealed immediately illuminated and projected into the future: as a firm believer of teamwork, Diego ferries the group through a big variety of musical genres, from classical to jazz, from band to rock, until in 2003 he understands that Mosson must be totally renewed, but drawing on the its centenary history: thus the Mosson Marching Band after an intense experimental and professional work, in 2011 evolves into Mosson Drum & Bugle Corps, being today one of the most prestigious Italian groups in the industry, able to perform with pride and expertise in Italy and Europe. In this period Diego doesn’t interrupted his studies: in 1991, under the guidance of M° Ezio Gavasso, he graduate for the Higher Diploma in clarinet and in 1992 he joined the famous Alpins Fanfare “Brigata Cadore”, first as a member and later as the Director and instructor of troop; this experience, for him, was technically and musically very educational, very useful in his later experience in the marching band. He attended numerous instrumental and musical courses, in which he improved his skills; he combines the intense musical activity with restoring of pipe organs. Since 1994 he teaches clarinet and saxophone at the “Musical Culture Centre” in Vicenza. Since 2005 he’s a teacher of clarinet at the Musical Middle School “A. Barolini” in Vicenza. In November 2008, follows at the Vicenza’s conservatory “A. Pedrollo” the Graduation of 2nd Level, for the training of teachers of musical instrument, which goes to supplement its already vast musical culture. But at the centre of all this activity, for Diego, is Mosson Drum & Bugle Corps, the group which he guided for the past 24 years, in a process of continuous and impressive renewal, technically and stylistically.
